US vacation trip, April 22 — May 2, 2005

Thursday April 28: SUV rules!

My great SUV ("Sub-Urban Vehicle") rental car outside my motel in Alton Bay, close to Wolfeboro — I was very happy to rent and drive the kind of car which Jesus wouldn't drive.

Huh?

Explanation: In the US, the SUVs are under constant attack by two life-hating cliques, the Fundamentalist Environmentalist and the Fundamentalist Christians, who have joined forces under the slogan "Jesus wouldn't drive a SUV" — because these cars use more gas than these nihilists's ideal mode of transportation: the medieval ox-cart.
